Whilst the winter fun continues at Budapest there is still plenty to get involved in. Next to Budapest’s City Park is Europe’s largest and one of the oldest open air ice skating rinks. It has recently been restored and looks more beautiful than ever.
In the summer months the ice skating rink is replaced by a man-made pond to paddle on and at the end of November the ice sheet returns for those who love to skate.
The ice skating rink is open from 9am daily till 1pm and re-opens from 4pm till 8pm for the evening sessions. Skates are available to hire and children under the age of 6 can skate for free with and adult accompanying them.
